35: Old Drawings: Front Lipslide

I just manage to "dig" out all my old drawings... where so called "artistan" is still inside me, but maybe need to have some "warming-up" before i can produce one this time around, hands already "keras".. hahah
But anyway, before (never in a 100 years, any of my drawings hanged in gallery) i get "famous" lah. Well you never know... :P

I'm going to tell you a little bit about this drawing, as you know i love skateboarding, and been in the Labuan Skateboarding Scene nearly 10 years. This give me some idea... to capture on film and also on the paper. That's mean Copying the image from the photo.. the transfer it on the paper. Looks easy... but. I could do one drawing in 3 - 4 days, copy and transfer the image.

This drawing is in black and white, and the best part is... the photo taken using a zoom lense... so you can see some part is blurred(not sharp), Depth of Field = D.O.F. ROCKS!! :P
and the focus is only on the skater. I did a lot of smudging tech.

Steps:

1. Do all the dark area
2. Do the grey part (need to mix black and white together)
3. Smudging
4. Then the detail. (Lighting area, sharp white on the upper skater body).

I never went to any art class/school, except then Vocational school where i learn to do dimension drawing... well what i'm actually good at.
